Ancient Stone Mysteries of New England: More "Yankee Lore" - Stone Wall Mythology
New Video Premiere Wednesday Afternoon at 4pm...
Join us for a new video on YouTube Wednesday afternoon at 4pm…
It’s a new one in my series of longer "Ancient Stone Mysteries of New England" video presentations (just over 20 minutes) and a follow-up to my June release on "Yankee Lore". In particular, this time, debunking a couple of flawed assumptions "everybody knows" about the "Stone Walls of New England".
Over the last few months, I've been focused on creating videos, as the Summer isn't a great time for searching out stonework. Soon, it will be time to get out again! Hope you've had a chance to check out & enjoy at least one of the Feature Focus short videos I've been putting out. Those are short, and a little formulaic on purpose, so they don't require a lot of in-depth writing.
These longer "Ancient Stone Mysteries of New England" videos are different. Started writing this one at the beginning of August, but it's been something I've wanted to cover for a while, ever since hearing the part of Vance Tiede's presentation at the Fall 2022 NEARA Conference I reference in the video. So, took almost two months of writing... I write - and rewrite - these scripts a whole bunch. Even had to do some math. Yuck. Math. And a little digging through old records. I did get a couple of short features out in the meantime.
Join me for the Premiere Wednesday afternoon at 4pm (EDT).
Coming soon, there will be an in-depth companion piece with bonus material for subscribers here on Substack.
