For those who might prefer a video walk along an old Stone Row to be a virtual experience, without voice-over or music in the background, I’ve started to bring you these unedited segments of raw video, much less produced than my YouTube ones. We move from Vermont to Massachusetts for our next series of videos.
A couple of weeks back, Stone Site Investigator Amanda Riani and I explored an area in Berlin, Massachusetts, which proved to be full of interesting Possible Serpent Rows, Curiously Shaped Boulders, some of which appeared worked, a Giant Possible Boulder Serpent Head, and more very curious stone features.
The bright sunny day did not lend itself to taking great pictures of the stonework — photographs tend to over accentuate the contrasts and the greens. Video is a bit better. So, I shot a lot of video that day, as we took in several stone rows. There is plenty of footage to share.
My plan is to bring you a series of unedited, uninterrupted stone row walk-alongs from that day. This is the first.
There are a few segments in this presentation, but no edits. The videos were stopped to take stills in-between on the day of shooting. There is some light production, as I did add fade ins/outs to the segments to blend them together more smoothly.
This footage is actually exclusive to this Substack newsletter at this time, as I haven’t put together my YouTube “Experiencing…” video for this visit yet. However, I have shared part of a different stone row walk along from this day on Facebook.
More to come from the Berlin woods…
