Last Thursday - the Autumnal Equinox - I headed down to Southeastern Vermont to check out a potential stone site I hadn’t yet been to, a fairly new discovery, or at least newly revealed. It was something to see!
At this site, several potential Serpent Effigy Rows ran along low rounded ridges that encircle an oval-shaped hollow. Likely Sacred Indigenous Stone Assemblages (similar to European cairns in appearance) still perched in the hollow, though they showed some wear and tear from the ravages of time and people.
There's even an Equinox-oriented Standing Stone.
This site is on private property — location not revealed. Great Thanks to the Property Owner for Allowing the Visit and the video coverage. The landholder posted photos of the stone features they’d found on their property in my Ancient Stone Mysteries of New England Facebook group, so I asked if I could see them for myself. Glad they said, “Yes!”
This unedited clip takes a look at one of the first d\segments of potential Indigenous Effigy Row we came across. I was impressed immediately! This appeared to be a very Dragon-like Serpent form found in these Great Horned and Feathered Sea Serpents wending their way across the land.
As you’ll see, I made some polished “Bumpers” for my Raw Video I post here. This may be an oxymoron in the making, adding produced intros and outros to deliberately un-produced Raw Video, but I wanted to give my newsletter readers and viewers something unique. And I had this idea… for some reason, I thought the old-timey aesthetic worked for the Raw Video. What do you think?
I’ll share a couple more unedited bits here in the next couple days. We talked a lot on the site visit, so I had to patch up the audio for a nice YouTube video. But that makes the Raw Video even more interesting… sometimes.
Here’s the new YouTube Video:
